Finally, Senator Bernie Sanders has succeeded. No, this blog is not breaking that the Sanders Campaign for President has defeated Hillary Clinton to pry the nomination away from her. Instead, he has won the victory we're pretty sure he expected to win all along - Sanders is putting his stamp on the party platform.
While it has been overtly apparent for a while now that Sanders is no longer trying to win the race, he has successfully left his thumbprint on the Democratic Party's official platform for the 2016 presidency, in the inclusion of a $15 dollar/ hour minimum wage.
While it has been made clear that Sanders will not drop out of the race (maybe not even after they've elected the next President?), we have witnessed what a nationwide movement committed to long-term change can accomplish.
